Though there are hundreds of reasons restraining him, such as fear, boredom, or anxiety from finishing the drawing, the character never lets go of the pen even when the phantom is near. The character focuses on drawing for reasons other than it being his job or it giving him supernatural power. Whether it’s beautiful or not, it makes you feel something that is what truly matters.
